I have mixed feelings about book-to-screen adaptations. When they get it right, it's wonderful to experience the story in a new way. But when they get it wrong, it's a huge disappointment. (I'm looking at you Netflix adaptation of Persuasion.) I tend to skip full cast audiobooks if I haven't read or listened to the book before, but I enjoy the movie in your mind experience if I'm already familiar with the book. It can be interesting to hear different interpretations, but some audiobook productions have so much going on it distracts from the story.
